Other Thoughts: I tried everything that I could think of with no luck. Bluetooth is a flaky technology!
Cons: This is a Broadcom 20702 (THIS should be been noted on ALL Dongles), this being the exact same hardware and software as the ioGEAR IOGEAR GBU521W6 which is more money. The software has not been updated (although one can see why) in 7 years. i tried on 4 different machines running XP, though Win7 Ultimate x64 and the result was the same; no streaming to headphones, but at least it DID seem my Canon portable printer.

Pros: -Was cheap when I got it (not worth the full price at all)
Cons: -Constant driver problems (especially with Windows 10)
-Loses connection just a few feet away (I literally need to be facing it and within about 3 meters for the connection to be strong enough for music not to cut out when using bluetooth headphones)
-Disconnects/signal gets choppy at random
-Has horrible bitrate loss
-Often defaults to 'tape recorder quality' (necessary for two way audio over bluetooth 4.0 but I'm only trying to using it one way
I frequently need to unplug, literally throw it across the room and replug the adapter to get it to work. Simply unplugging it and plugging it back in is not enough. It literally needs to be thrown to work again. I'm not kidding. After a couple years, it's almost unusable (no it has not gotten worse since I started throwing it, the problems began before and this has seemed to help).

Cons: VERY HIGH LATENCY. When streaming audio to a bluetooth speaker which is right next to my computer and this bluetooth dongle, I can see the delay in audio when watching a video that I know is in sync. When pairing an input device such as a gamepad, there is a huge latency issue as well! Seriously?! An input button press is such small data so why the HUGE DELAY? Cannot play with this. And I am just running super mario bros over a NES emulator. There is no reason for this! Good thing I can alternatively hook up my controller with USB but I shouldnt have to when I have the option for wireless. LAME! Please Fix!
