American Dad!'s thirteenth season premiered on TBS on January 25, 2016, and concluded on June 27, 2016.^[1]

On November 18, 2014, TBS ordered a 22-episode thirteenth season of American Dad!.^[2] It is also the second season of American Dad! to be aired on TBS. In addition, TBS also announced that it ordered a fourteenth and fifteenth season of American Dad!, both consisting of 22 episodes.^[3]

Because of Mike Barker's departure from the show, his characters Terry Bates and John Sanders were written out of the series in 'Anchorfran' (Terry left Greg so he can follow the band 311) and 'Widow's Pique' (Sanders died on a body recovery mission), respectively. The season also included the two-hundredth milestone episode, 'The Two Hundred'.

Meanwhile Jeff and Hayley are rescued by the U.S. Navy, and Steve is trapped on a lifeboat with a wolf and Roger's dangerous survival tips.

American Dad!'s fifteenth season began with a Christmas special on December 25, 2017^[1] on TBS, officially premiered on February 12, 2018, and concluded on April 8, 2019.^[2] The season went on hiatus after the 13th episode, and aired the remaining 9 episodes of the season beginning on February 11, 2019.^[3]

On August 27, 2015, TBS renewed the series for a fifteenth season.^[4] It is also the fourth season of American Dad! to be aired on TBS.
